I keep thinking: Maybe true love
doesn’t get loved back, and it’s true
because it persists nonetheless.
As bad as it is never to
be loved back, much worse, though, it is
when even the wish alone to
give love out to the special ones
is constantly denied it too,
if not outright forbidden....

It’s dangerous to reach out to people
because no matter how much you need it,
they never reach back to you and then you
just get hurt and very disappointed.
That’s particularly the case with men.
And being treated like that is no fun.
That’s why it’s wiser to never reach out
