Blond

Maybe I should dye my hair blond or, at least,
dirty, straw-like blond, very light brown almost,
since those shades attract the guys I’ve loved the most,
apparently, as, after rejecting me,
that’s what they ended up with. Would I then be
finally desirable too, gone blondie
instead of my dark reddish brown—such a bore?
I must admit I considered it before,
but know then it wouldn’t be me anymore.
