Fighting love

I never fight for love.

Instead, I always fight against it.
I fight for my stupid love to die.
For I fight on the side of the guy
because I want to make him happy.
I (mis)believe that’s how it should be.
That’s the right thing to do, isn’t it?

Though in my heart it causes mayhem,
that’s the reasonable thing to do
when the men you love don’t love you.
I strive to kill the love I’m feeling
because they find it so annoying
and my interest just bothers them.
