For all weather and seasons
Ever since I first encountered you so closely
I’ve been attracted to you truly immensely.
I’ve always had a weakness for men of like looks—
raven black hair and bright blue eyes, that’s what hooks
me the most. In other words, that’s what rings my chime.
Yet, you’re special, cute and sexy at the same time.
I’ve even grown to like and find really charming
the corner of one your eye that’s slightly slanting,
your hairy legs and the little belly pouch too.
There’s a lot more that captivates me about you:
I love your wide giddy smile as well as its
sometimes crooked half-serious version to bits.
And I also swoon over your hands and forearms.
Perhaps blind with love, I consider as your charms
even what you may deem are your deficiencies,
as mentioned above, or your height. But be at ease.
Your height is just rightly proportionate to me.
You’re the boy of my dreams with whom I want to be.
And though you still avoid me in anger or fear,
I did notice that you’ve manned up in the past year.
But it’s not just your physique I find alluring.
First and foremost, what accounted for me falling
in love with you was your great personality:
your almost limitless amiability,
courage, adventurousness, and kindheartedness
professed best in your willingness to help the less
fortunate, like when you once gave up a contest
prize to donate the money to the poor, unblessed
children in an orphanage. Few are so selfless,
especially at such a young age, I dare guess.
That’s truly praiseworthy. And you still readily
keep helping your community and family
in many ways. Plus, you’re keen on animals too.
Combining these two traits, I lately observed you
substituting for your ill father, along with your
grandpa, doing yet another village life chore—
taking care of all the small livestock your folks keep.
That makes me fall in love with you even more deep.
Moreover, I’m in awe of and admire you
for how passionate you are about all you do
regarding your main interests, such as running
and everything related to coffee making,
how wise you are in the ways of your business, and
inventive, ambitious, also focused-on-end
(in other words, goal-oriented), and that you,
pursuing your dream career, weren’t afraid to
switch schools when one didn’t meet your expectation,
not demanding too much, leading to stagnation
in its students’ education as well as their
professional development, for which you care.
You are a man of principles and a stout heart,
fit for a princely carriage as well as farm cart,
as we say here. Or as others put it: a man
for all weather; a man for all seasons. Amen.
Which girl wouldn’t desire such a guy like you?
I am pretty sure that I wholeheartedly do!
