So much for my happy ending

Two of my former big crushes are getting married this year,
my first’s engaged too and the current one chose to disappear
from social sites and sports life lest I don’t even look at him.
For a while I thought they liked me, but each time it was a whim.

I have never had a proper date with anyone of them
and that says it all about how desirable I am.
Instead of a loving man, I’ve got a career promising.
I guess I just can’t have both. So much for my happy ending.
